Market Hall this weekend

I know there's a Fun Show this weekend at Market Hall. My question is this...

Is Model1Sales' prices at shows in line with what is posted on their website? Higher, lower?

Here's why. I've been monitoring Del-ton since the election and they are up to an 8-16 week processing time (understandably so) and I really don't want to wait up to 4 months for my order.

I would rather go to a gunshow, pay the entry fee, walk back to Model1sales and buy the complete upper I want than order it on their website and pay tax AND shipping.

I can also use that time to track down a buttstock for the rifle and have a fully functioning rifle a hell of a lot sooner than 4 freakin months.

Any one have any thoughts?

I bought an upper from them at market hall once for the same price as on the website

ok, then I think I will proceed with this plan.

I'll get the complete upper from Model 1 and I'll try to get an M4 buttstock from Lonestar Wholesale (since Robbie is about $10 cheaper on it).

Let's see if I can stay up long enough to make this run early Saturday morning. I'll be on a ride-along from 6P Friday to 6A Saturday.

Im thinking about going but it is probably a waste ,all i want is just a 24" bull barrel barrel for my dpms 308 not even looking for a complete upper anymore being as i have all the other parts.

I just drove by the show...there was a 1/2 mile line to get into the parking lot, and prob a 1/2 mile line to get into the door! Crazy shit

sorry dude, didn't see your message till after i was done. either way pretty much everything i looked at wasnt a great deal. i couldnt spend much time examining all the tags so i just looked for things that caught my eye.

was trying to find any semi pistol at a cheap price. best deal i spotted was a kahr .40 for $350

saw some new bulgarian ak 30 rd mags for $20.
ak ammo in a 500 pack was 140.. too much IMO.

i did almost buy a GSG5. cheapest i found the rifle was 479, the 2 pistol models were 500 and 550

thats about how i figured it would be, thought about going tomorrow but i think i'll just go shooting instead. ftworth was the same, saw very few "deals" and what few i did see was stuff over 1,000.

There were a lot of pistol uppers there at several different booths. Afraid I didn't pay much attention to the prices :o

I did pickup a 6.8 BCG and a 5.56 carrier and charging handle at Model1 and there prices were only a little higher than 2 months ago.

I saw the crazy line to get in around 9:30 and decided not to stop...I didn't feel like waiting to get in after being out till 5:30 this morning...saw a lot of people carrying in ARs to sell and made a couple of offers as I passed by, but they were looking to get over $1k for them...

Looks like I'm back to ordering the kit online...does anyone know of any other companies that sell AR15 rifle kits other than Del-ton and Model 1?

They seem inline with the ad I saw in Shotgun news. I was only there for a little bit, but in the paper they had on display they had the same prices as in the 2 month old Shotgun News I have.

I was thinking about buying a stripped lower and one of his parts kits. He's only like 10 mins from me.

The good news from the show today was slow sales of AR15s with their over inflated prices. They are going to back off to make them move. The show over in Ft. Worth two weeks ago sold out of ARs the first day. They were everywhere at the end of the show today and the dealers had plenty of stock. Some idiot had a Century Arms with a $1400.00 price tag on it.

I saw several 20" uppers but not sure if they were RR, some were DPMS....several dealers had them, model1 had a lot of uppers. there is a RR dealer there but he didn't seem to have a lot of uppers.

Looked like even pistol prices came up a little bit from earlier in the month at mesquite(from the same vendors)
