It's 42 degrees outside, at 7:34 pm in Sherman Texas

Bout to bundle up, and hit the road for an hour or so....it's been a month or two since I rode just to ride.

LMAO, it is 2:59 a.m. here, and I just got in....god damn I had a good time....I seriously let time get away from me, considering that I have to be at work at or before 8, leaving me 5 hours to get some sleep, lol.

Good damn ride, let me clear my head, air out the Harley, and get some pure enjoyment out of the machine. Reminds me of why I first decided to get a two wheeler.

I did the same thing last Sunday for about three hours... but it was 70 degrees outside... :D

I had on 3 pairs of socks (2 insulated)
1 pair insulated tights, thermals over those, sweats on over those, then jeans on top

1 insulated tight top, 1 thermal top over that, a thick ass long sleeve shirt next, then my work hoodie, then my leather jacket

I pair of thin insulated gloves inside my thicker gloves

Neck protector, and beanie, inside my helmet.

It wasn't too bad, the worst part was taking all that shit off when I got home.

your crazy lol

Boredom man, boredom. I had one errand I needed to run, then just kept heading north....I wound up in McAllister Oklahoma, had some Taco Bell, then meandered my way back south, back to Texas.

I don't recall what time it was, but a bank sign in McAllister said 37 degrees when I was heading back.

I normally don't touch the bike when it gets cold, but it just seemed like a good idea at the time....and I think it was. :D

Only downside is getting very little sleep...I'm haggard as hell at work right now....can't wait for 5 o'clock.

Cold riding is not so bad if you dress properly. I am setting at 8,000 ft right now and the temp this morning was 9*F. I ride down to a local (10 miles) cafe each morning an eat breakfast, drink coffee, and talk with the gray beard hippies (like me). My 2007 Super Glide is slow to start below 10*F but it starts better than any carbed bike I have ever had. I'll be back in FW for Thanksgiving for some "warm" weather riding.

 Darn man....... did you really need all that for 42 degrees? I ride year round and and I dont wear that much when its the middle of winter. I have a thermal suit I wear over my clothes and a winter jacket, winter gloves and boots. Sometimes a neck protector. Anything above 40.... I wear a pair of weather proof pants over my jeans, I put the liner in my jacket, and my fall gloves on. Only two conditions I dont ride in are severe thunderstorms or ice on the road.

I rerode the the dublin run wed but it was in the 70's. I do not mind riding in the cold I am just too danm lazy to get up early enough too put the extra gear on. I probably will not ride to work again untill the spring. I will ride on my days off though.

Oh, and to jesse (TTopps) those curves were alot smoother this time.

Awsome man!!! I told you the more comfortable you got on your machine, the easier it would be. Keep it up!! And you right..... sometimes it is a bitch taking off the gear. :D

It was 42 degrees when I left at 7:30....I'm pretty sure it was close to freezing when i got home.

Either way, I'm a pussy when it comes to coldness.

We go to san antonio every friday after t-giving. Last year it was 34* and drizzling. I bought electrics the next week!

See Gerbins for winter gear. The best investment I've made

Thats the key. Its never to cold. Just to cold for the wrong gear. :)
