Oxiclean got the diesel smell out of my truck. Even got the stains out of my seat. Note: don't let the nozzle come out of the filler neck when fueling up.

it will eventually subside. You can take a bag of odorless charcoal, break it up in a cookie sheet and lay it between the seats.

I have never been able to completely remove gas smell from a vehicle. Let it evaporate(if it will), or replace the carpet.
I have used everything from carpet cleaners to degreasers. Not once have I completely removed gas smell, I was only able to mask it for a little while.

put some baking soda on it and let it sit over night. It may not get rid of the smell completely but it should thin out the smell. Good luck!

baking soda works, if you want to cover the smell use baby powder. To get rid of the smell, it's very easy and free. Open all the doors and let it sit for a couple days. Has to be in a somewhat open area.

I've used dryer sheets on 2 occasions to help kill off the lingering scent of violently projected vomit

Get a cheap can of coffee and open it up and set it in the car. Unused coffee grounds absorb smells a lot better than baking soda.

Why do you think coke smugglers use it??? ;)

Just fyi, my buddies zo6 got sprayed by a skunk INSIDE the car ( not going into detail as no one knows how that mother fucker got in there) and coffee grounds along with a little more concocktion (sp) got the smell out.

And the smell was fucking HORRID. Like so bad that the doors and windows could be down and you could be 10 ft from it and you could smell it.

But coffee grounds got most of the smell out along with shampooing/vacuuming it up. lol
