sks prices

anyone know how much sks's are going for now. My girlfriend is asking me what i want for xmas and im thinking something cheap and i remember sks's being very very reasonable. Anyone know of any pawn shops in north texas that carry them often.

prices have shot up lately, but I remember in about 97 my dad bought a new one for less than $100

I see prices for SKS's going for 229-350 dollars these days.

They have already inched up past that 350 mark too... Some of the "nicer" ones with synthetic stocks and scopes are approaching $500. I have only been looking at Gunbroker for comparisons but they seem to have nearly doubled in the last year and the last 20 days have seen HUGE jumps. I consider the $400 I paid for mine a bargain at this point... :(

There are 2 at a local pawn shop here in longview. They are asking 399.99. George's Pawn is the name of the place.
