What do you think about the "any members of your immediate family" part?

That means he probably doesn't want anyone on his staff with a family member that has an unregistered / illegal firearm that could become an embarrassment for his administration.

Of course you would..... if you were anti-gun and gun ownership.

I would look at the other questions more carefully. Do they say "Have you or an immediate member of your family ever been convicted of a felony?" Do they say "Do you or an immediate family member chat inappropriatly on the internet?" If not, then it may be an attempt to prevent embarassment if there was a gun roundup.
