picked up a taurus pt 1911 this weekend. want to buy a couple more mags for it.
what brand do you guys recommend? chip mccormick? kimber? factory?
i'm guessing any 7 or 8 capacity for a full size will work? any reason to not buy 8 rounders?
i'll probably buy the models without the slam pads because i like the flush look.
thanks!

i just run factory ones in my kimber. i have a 7 and 8 round, no problems with either
I only run Wilson Combat magazines in my 1911. They have a plastic follower that will not mar your feedramp.

kimber, colt, wilson combat. i've used those 3 without problems. the kimbers are cheap, around 20 bux each for the stainless 8rnd.

I personally use USGI 7 round mags in my 1911. You can pick them up for 3-7 dollars usually.. Well before obama was elected you could.

+1
Thats all i would ever use
Wilson Combat are all I roll. I have one factory mag, but I don't use it. I don't have a feed ramp on my barrel, though.
