bought my first rifle today..

Romanian AK47. Paid $495 for it, came with two 30 round mags, sling, and all the other bullshit that you'd expect. Shot about 150 rounds through it today, right out of the box, and is as accurate as i can ask for it to be with my blind ass. Probably be much better when i get a good scope on it. As of right now i'm forced to line up a blurry sight with an even blurrier sight and the target. it sucks.

i do know i ordered a handful of 30rd steel mags from the-armory.com for $12 each... shoulda have bought more at once to save on shipping but it was late and i pulled the trigger without thinking.

Basically a WASR 10 is a Romanian, but it meets all state legality, so its basically a Cali legal AK. Came with 2 10 round single stack. You can easily modify the mag housing to accept the high cap though.

I bought it from a local guy here in Havasu. he sells out of his house. holy shit he's got some badass guns in his house too. Walk in his front door to a ww1 8mm machine gun pointed at the door. he opened up his safe and started pulling out badass full auto this and that.. bitchin full auto AK that i got to shoot today, it's fucking killer. he's got one of the Robocop full auto Beretta 93R with the long-ass mag and everything. too much badass shit in one house.

Anyway, the odd thing about the AK is the Y stamped into the receiver. Apparently they just don't do that anymore cause it's pretty much the location for where to drill for a full auto. :D

His price isn't bad either, CTD doesn't have any AK under $600 right now.

Does anyone make nice wood stocks for these guns? I have synthetics with a collapsible stock and pistol grip. I'd rather have wood.
