East texas deer hunting

Anyone here hunt out in east texas? My parents have some land in Van zandt county about 15 miles from cedar creek lake out in the middle of bfe. Nice peice of land with heavy cover and a small pond. There isn't shit within mile from it. I figured there has to be something out there. Just wonder if anyone hunts out in that area and has had any luck?

Set up a feeder and find out.
Probably deer, hogs, turkey, and varmints.

I'm going to. I just found out last week that they even owned it.
Probably go scout it out next weekend.

if its anything like the counties around me, which van zandt is only 50 or 60 miles probably from me...there are probably tons of deer and even more hog.

You should be able to draw them in on that feeder. The acorns have already soured for the season. That will push the deer to the feeders. Good Luck
