I usually go to the High-Caliber ones. I might be going up there with a buddy this weekend, he is looking for a Bersa Thunder.

What are you looking for? Handguns should still be pretty readily available, but AR's and AK's will be in short supply. Probably Hi-capacity mags and ammo also. I have seen several dealers saying they aren't even going because they are busy filling the orders they have.

i want to see what AR lowers are running for. i wont buy if they are over $130. i'm not worried about magazines since there are lots to be had online and they can freely ship. in fact i just ordered a handful of AK 30 round steel mags for $12 a pop... i may grab a few more to sell after seeing them jump to $40 at bullet trap.


but as far as stuff i want to buy for sure, i'm gonna see about picking up a new 1911 this weekend. pretty much open to which ever i see as a good deal.
if i dont spend too much, possibly a small 9mm for the car and carry use.

Same here but if someone who is going on Saturday morning would post prices on ammo, that would be cool.

looking for 7.62x39 and 5.56/223. Might even go for .45 and 9mm too. If the prices are good after paying the entry fee, I might jet over and back.

Didn't see any stripped lowers. One table had double stars with 6 pos stock for 335. Another place had a dpms for...... 519. A2 config. :eek: saw a lot of uppers. The only thing I left with was a set of dies for 20 bux. A lot of shit was way over priced. I saw a couple 38 mid range guns for good deals.

lowest price i seen on uppers was like $599 for a dmps 16" .The price on .50cal ammo from the two people who had it wanted 15 a shell. I ordered it a whole lot cheaper than that online 5 minutes ago.

Well I didn't make it to the gun show but did pick up a gun today. decided to pick up a Taurus PT 1911 DT (duo tone).

it's a great gun with excellent reviews at a hell of a deal plus a $75 rebate on top of it. I will probably pick up a set of pachmayr grips to replace the stock plastics and add a couple of mags.

I went to the High Caliber show here in Houston today. Waited 3 hours for what I wanted, but came home happy. :)

500. They had ONE table with AK's. 2-3 hour wait for paperwork. It was a cluster fuck, but it was worth it. lol Go early if you go.

The line to get in this morning was out the front door...down the stairs and into another big room with 100's of people waiting in line. It was a circus in there!! I've never seen a show so packed with people. Fortunately, I met several nice folks looking to spend some cash I was gone in less than an hour.

If you get there around 8am and just sit in line for an hr it wont be all that horrible. If not you will sit in line for more than an hr. I did made one full walk around this morning and carrying 3 firearms and trying to walk those isles sucked.
