You can qualify with whatever you want, but if you use a revolver, all you'll be legally allowed to carry is revolvers. If you use a semi-auto, you can carry either.

Yes, you could but why? Qualify with an auto so you can carry both. No sense in limiting yourself.

And btw, John Wayne would have open carried. :D
