My views:

People can pout and whine and be as anti-American as they wish, but they are only arguing with their selves. I voted for Mccain but we all knew inside that he never had a chance at winning, I was just hoping for some balance in the house and senate, but wishes are not always granted. It is a new chapter in Americas history starting today. You can dissociate and let the hate get worse, or unite and accept the fact that this is what America is based on. There will always be extremist on the left and the right, and rumors of foreign influence, but that does not change what is. I do not agree with Obama on several deep issues, but I am not going to be less proud of my country because he won the election, but hold onto hope that even though there is no more balance in Washington that this "Change" has come with just cause. Mark today down, it is the beginning of the end, or the end of the beginning.

My taxes will increase, this does not bother me due to the fact I feel that there should be a flat tax rate across the board. People who do not like taxes, do not love their country. My tax money will go to help illegals with health care who do not pay taxes, but is it also saving a human beings life. Most of the world is united in Obama being President-Elect, while we stand here divided amongst ourselves. He is going to withdraw the troops from Iraq and leave a country stranded in the middle of enemies, but thousands of our military are back here at home where they belong. Obama inherits a mild-depression and two wars, with the possibility of a world war right around the corner....could cover every issue but time is limited.

I'll be helping save lives after I pay all my taxes, but by gum, I'll still have my van down by the river.

Taxes have nothing to do with Patriotism. You are saying everyone under $45k hates their country..

I can be just as patriotic paying less taxes.

I think your sarcasm meter is broken.

Reference was - Joe Biden saying that it was patriotic to pay taxes.

Note to self. The founding fathers and everyone else up until 1913 did no love their country. Check.

My tax money will go to help illegals with health care who do not pay taxes, but is it also saving a human beings life.

That turns my stomach. Thank you for ruining my breakfast.
