The best way to be the conservatives in exile would be to help slow down the economy. Doing so would reduce the options of the socialists.

Everyone that voted for McCain needs to save $25 a week, but do not save the money in a bank account. Everyone should take the money and put it in their dresser, under their mattress or in a safe at home. This money is then effectively removed from the money supply. It will not be spend nor will it be saved in a bank to be loaned out. The net effect is multiplied through the fractional banking system by a factor of four to five times.

55 million McCain voters saving $25 a week would remove $71.5 Billion from circulation in a year. The effect could be up to $357 Billion in reduced economic activity, which is greater than the stimulus package. The effect maybe even larger as there is only about $800 billion of cash in circulation. Taking $71.5Billion or nearly 10% of all cash out of circulation each year might be a big drain on the economy.

I can't take credit for it. I plan on taking a couple thousand out of the bank today to put in my safe deposit box.

*sigh*

I don't know what's worse: Obama winning or the reactions I'm seeing out of those who voted for McCain.

Good idea. Slow the economy even more and force people out of jobs. That way the same people already bitching about paying for others will have more to pay for.

How do you guys come up with this shit?

we just agreed to let the government pay us to print up 700 billion more. Another 70 would be chickenfeed, especially considering we don't actually print it anymore, we just type it in.

If you want to impact a tax and spend government into an economic point of no return, why not tax free munis instead?

You are investing in something that doesn't produce anything real, you remove any interest that the floating money will create that can be taxed, and you lull the spenders into a sense of security. Hell, even if you pull out after you get to the break-even you still have your mattress money.
