You're so wrong. Bush was elected both times, because of the inability of the democrats to run a viable candidate. They should have strolled in back in 2000, but Gore decided he didn't want to run on Clinton's popularity, and was too weak to carry it himself. In '04, the "two John's" were quite possibly the worst pick for the dems since Mondale/Ferraro. Palin didn't lose the election, and there's nothing to base that on. Once again, your hatred has blinded you to facts. Go away...

I disagree, I think the RNC's dismissal of 2nd amendment rights as a core issue killed their chances two years prior and maybe even put Clinton on the skids, ironically. Palin was a weak attempt to cover that identity base at the last minute and it didn't go very far.

Facts:

- McCain didn't run the best campaign.

- Obama had probably the best campaign ever ran.

- McCain was using public financing.

- Obama was using fundraising tactics, raising the most amount of money for a campaign ever.

- Both VP choices weren't the best decisions as Biden is, well, Biden, and Palin proved that she needed a few years more experience in politics, even if some of the questions she was asked weren't the most fair.

- Speaking of experience, it's a shame that we elected someone to the Presidency who has about as much experience as Sarah Palin.

Those are all facts, dipshit.

It wasn't Palin who lost the election, it was basically Obama who purchased it. If John McCain would have had the money at his disposal that Mr. Obama did, I'm sure this race would have been much closer.

Anyways -- I've slept it off and managed to come away without a hangover. I'll be hoping that your messiah does as good a job as can be asked of him without bringing harm to the country or myself.

As a member of said left I would like to say I am prepared for your comments the next two years (next elections) I think in two years we'll have an idea of the actual direction of President Elect Barack Obama's administration. Not just the "hope, hope, change, change" mantra of the left and the sky-is-falling fear of the right.

That being said I don't think this is the total approval stamp of the Dem party that some here are saying. This election proved the country isn't as conservative as the Rep. But we have always know the country isn't as liberal as the Dem. This election way just part of the normal cycle of US politics. Like I said last night, the politics of the country is like a blind man driving a car. Since we can't keep the car in the middle of the lane, we just bump off the curbs to keep the car moving forward.

There's quite a bit of difference in our country now though. The control is slowly removing pride and tradition from our schools and government. They seem to want us to feel ashamed of the negative things over feeling proud of all the great things our country has done.

Eerily, I see this fitting the way Stanley Ann Dunham raised Barack by feeding him Mahalia Jackson and Martin Luther King Jr at an early age. I wondered why Barack felt so close to the af amer community when his own african father disowned him. Seems that his mother played a big role in that. It's because his mother focused on raising him to love blacks, rather than finding out why her husbands disappeared like fathers day cards from the ghetto. I wonder if she ever did reach divinity on her deathbed when all she had around her was her kids, a the mother she disowned, and no husband or father of the kids.

I disagree that he is just like any other politician. Maybe they will see that he is the worst politician, but I doubt that.

It is also scary to see how many pro communists that seem to be rising up in this country. I don't know if it's some kind of cool retro thing to be a commie, or are these people actually supporting it. Just last week I saw a college age kid sporting a hammer and sickle shirt in the gym. Then last night on TV I saw a few dancing around celebrating.

Again, I believe that this transcends from a lack of proper education at home and in school.

Just watch. This economy isn't going to magically heal itself because of an election. We are still in just as much deep shit today as we were yesterday. In fact, we've got some really shitty economic times ahead. When the magic wears off and the sheeple realize this they will turn on Obama like rabid dogs.

What you have to worry about is the damage this clown and the Democrat controlled congress can do while they have power. In my opinion they are much more dangerous than the Republicans. Republicans just want to steal money with power. Democrats want to force their idealistic bullshit on people. That's infinitely more dangerous. For a good example, look at how they have dictated an energy policy that is terrible for the country economically but somehow satisfies their party's self loathing environmental bullshit. We could still be paying 50 years from now for what these assholes can do.
