A friend of mine has an issue w/ IE where the "targeted ad" box (under where you would sign in for Yahoo messenger and mail) is only displaying ads in German. 100% of the time, never fails. For almost a week straight it was a gold German mastercard-like credit card, now it is some auto insurance ad in German. No matter how many times you refresh it is the same ad. On my computer and anyone else's you get a completely different targeted ad. I have uninstalled IE, upgraded to IE 8 and even downloaded Firefox. Same fucking ad.... how does this get fixed?

check his yahoo setting and make sure he isn't in the german region.

Where is that? Wouldn't that make all text from Yahoo come up in German? It is only that one ad box.
