I don't know how old you are, but AFD was one of those transitional records that changed music. I'm not the biggest GnR fan, but there are a lot of good songs on that album. More imprtantly, it took rock in a different direction. If you think GnR sucks, you should dial up some Poison or Warrant :D

2. Izzy hasnt been a part of GNR since before Slash left. Pretty sure Duff is not apart of the band either and I know Steven isn't. However, they are all on this album, except maybe Izzy. Can't remember.

4. GNR was original and had lots of great tunes, unlike half the noise that gets played on the radio today.
5. Axl is a douche bag, but very talented, even Slash gives him credit for his genius despite how he fucked them all over. The strings and rest of the orchestra you hear in November Rain is all synthesizers done by Axl. Show me another artist who has used synthesizers as well as he has that fooled everyone into thinking it was an actual orchestra.

Let me clarify that I didn't lump them in, but was rather responding to an above stated posted. I'd listen to GNR's discography 100 times before I played a Poison/Warrant album for any period of time.

Wow, thats good to hear. Whats funny is, the day before they made the announcement I was telling my friend here about the album and how it would probably never get released. The most shocking of that news though is Izzy being open to touring. He hates the rock n roll lifestyle, especially life on the road. Would be bad ass to see them all back together. Its a shame that they broke up so quickly, makes you wonder what they would have done and how more successful they would/could have been had they been together through the 90's.

Half right, It was started in 1994, but nothing was seriously put down until the past 8 years or so. Axl said it will contain some of Buckethead's work, but Bumblefoot and Robin Finck will be the bulk of the lead guitar. No Slash anywhere on the album.
