I'm ready for an Obama presidency.

I'm not ready for an overwhelming majority of democraps in Congress.

Pass the bong, the next four years are gonna be fun.

what would be funny is if there was a huge turn around of the stock market directly after obama got into office...we'd never hear the end of it! lol

That's what's sad... history says it will (not because of Obama though, or any president)

The markets are beaten to a pulp at the moment. Remember... the market is forward looking.

that's true...6months from when obama would get into office (assuming he wins) might look a bit better than now. hopefully anyway!

Yep, yep, at least Obama will lead the greatest stock market recovery since the Great Depression. Is there anything he can't do?

Four years from now it will look fantastic and you can bet the Democrats will be acting like he single handedly saved everyone.

The only flies in the ointment will be that Iran will have a nuke, Iraq might be in anarchy, and the Russians will have a base in Venezuela, but we'll be just fine thanks to the mighty Blowbama.

Oh, and the French might like us

If something happened now, McCain would be a shoo-in, and that's the last thing our enemies want. What will be interesting is if there's some sort of attack after the election, but before inauguration... a "statement", if you will.

Corporate America tends to favor Republicans, and Wall Street is Corporate America. So if we see a sustained market rally under an Obama presidency, it will be for other reasons.

It's gonna be because, regardless of stupid elections, the markets rally in November. Why? Because the window of hedge fund redemptions close.

How about higher taxes for you but an overall higher net profit due to increased revenues from a growing economy.

Come on Al, you know damn well that housing will bottom under the next president and the economy will strengthen due to that the current monetary policy and the next president will get all the credit for it regardless of who wins. But then again history is going to show once again that a recession happened under a republican president and the recovery came under a democrat. Funny how that works out.
