I've been reading Obamas plans for ending poverty, wiping out un-enployment, and cutting taxes for about the last 45 min.
I keep seeing all these numbers for the amount of money he is going to increas spending on so that he can get people jobs, and transportation to jobs, and teach them how to hold a job. But I don't see how he pans on getting all this money, except to ASK the top 2% of the population to give back some of the money they made over the last 8 years.
Is he fucking crazy? People didn't get to that posision in life by giving away their wealth to people that don't have the desire to go work for it them selves.
Oh and raising the min. wage to 9.50/hr by 2011. Thats going to do great things for buisness owners and the inflation rate. Holly shit, I don't have any kind of econ/finacial degree, and even I know that raising the min. wage does nothing but raise the cost of living for everyone on the planet.
News flash dumbass, most people that are un-employed or living in poverty are doing so because they are FUCKING LAZY. No amount of money or government program is going to change that.
GET A FRICKING CLUE PEOPLE!!!!
According to his website he is going to cut taxes for 95% of Americans. How in the hell is he going to come up with all the money for all these programs and "CHANGES" he want to make then? Only thing I can think of is he's going to take from the other 5% of the population, you know the ones who provide most of the jobs. Piss them off and give them just one more reason to take buisness elsewhere. Great idea.

Take your choice, vote republican and get your taxes cuts while the difference gets borrowed and the growing national debt gets passed on to future generations or
vote democrat and the 5% get taxed more so we don't have to borrow as much and can't work on paying down the national debt while spending more money at home instead of abroad in a war that will never be won.
I find it funny is those bitching most about higher taxes are nowhere near in the category to be affected by the proposal.
Oh I forgot, this is dfwstangs.net where everyone makes 7 figures a year.

Lower taxes = more federal government tax revenue that can be used to pay off that debt. Tax increases always have negative effects despite their "good" intentions. Not to mention a tax break for EVERY income bracket would do wonders for the economy.

Man, I can't stand when people say it will never be won. That's about as far from the truth as can be.
In any case, voting Democrat isn't going to save you anything. The $10 billion currently being spent in Iraq is needed in Afghanistan and will likely go there... that is only if the Dems don't cut the military budget in half causing a slew of other problems.

Guess what, I'm not going to miss a meal, my former employees will. It will help me to find more efficient, harder working individuals though.

Yep, go ahead and tax the higher income bracket more, and when we get tired of working our asses off providing jobs for unappreciative people, paying most of the taxes so others can enjoy the benifits the USA offers, paying the way for dead beats that are too lazy to work and move to South America I dont want to hear any bitching. You think unemployment is bad now, just wait.

So raising taxes of the upper 5% and most businesses will not affect the middle class, huh? Who do you think will be paying the taxes on businesses that Obama will impose? The middle class who is using those businesses will be paying those taxes you imbecile!
BTW, businesses do not pay taxes, they collect taxes from their customers and forward them to the government. I would love to hear from a business owner and see if tyhey agree that any tax hike would be passed down to the customer.
I also love how you liberals always talk about defeat instead of wanting victory. Why would such patriotic people like you liberals want us to lose?

Maybe the new obama tax will not affect 95% of the people, but it damn sure will affect their employers. And as has been stated before, the employer isn't going to dig into their profits to pay the tax, they will just fire people to cover it. My own business will be one of the ones firing people to make up the difference if obama gets the nod.
and besides, $250k? it is easy for a small business to make that in REVENUE. Net profit? Depends on the business.

trickle down economics does not work, the idea that by giving tax cuts to the wealthy and corporations the savings will be passed down to everyone thus creating job growth. we did not see this over the last 8 years, in fact we had negative job growth, and lower wages.
now I dont think the obama plan is the best plan either, but I think it will have a better short term impact on our economy. after all we do live in a purchase based economy, and if more people have money, more people will be spending money, thus the economy grows. its a good way to stimulate economic growth for the short term, but it does not solve our big problem and that is debt.

it's always been trickle down . wealth creates jobs - jobs create wealth . buford spending a 300 buck handout at wal-mart will do squat . get him a job so he can spend it every month. how many jobs have to be lost before folks figure out why they left ?

Seriously? Reaganomics and the 90s would beg to differ. That awesome economy we had in the 90s was not Clinton's doing.
In a capitalist economy, trickle-down economics is the only way to let it work efficiently. You can't help those that won't help themselves. If people want to be lazy asses and live on welfare, that's their own problem. We have no responsibility to prop them up.

I've never been offered a job by someone that is broke. I've never seen a broke person start a company.
Jobs are created by wealthy people wanting to invest. Period. (not counting government and education jobs).
Give the wealthy more money, and they will invest it. Why? To make more money.
Put up obstacles in the way of business and watch it go elsewhere. Taxes and excessive EPA style regulations come to mind.
What obama is proposing tax-wise should scare you. But the young people don't remember jimmy carter and are about to repeat that mistake again. Oh well, let them eat cake. We'll vote out all of the dems in 4 years and start fresh.

first of all reaganomics never really happened as reagan proposed...reagan had a hard time with his economic policy because of the democratically controlled congress, so many concessions were made. so we never got the tax cuts proposed, though we did get a little, and by the his successor raised taxes putting an end to reaganomics. Clinton also raised the capital gains tax.

actually it does...you see buford going to take that $300 and he is going to spend it, lets say he spends it at walmart. that money that was taxed from walmart, and then spent at walmart , thus creating even more revenue for walmart.
you see in a purchase based economy people have to spend money in order for the economy to grow. if the people are not spending money the economy is shrinking.

I can cuss and raise hell all day and night and they still will not get out there and get a damn job!!Why? Because they dont have to they have a crutch and someone to rely on to take care of them. Thats exactly why you dont help people out becasue they expect it and it just weakens them more IMO. Any person who is not mentally or physically ill should hold a job and not live off uncle sam. How does raising taxes not help reduce the debt ?
The revenue has to come from somewhere in order to pay it down.
Cutting taxes damn sure is not reducing the debt.
Reagan already showed what cutting the tax rates does as the debt has went from 1 trillion to 12 trillion since 1980 while the economy went sideways till 1992.
