What do you think the founding fathers would have to say about Obama's "Socialistic" hammer?

when the congress passed the bail out, and the federal government started taking ownership of private companies, this country became socialist

Before or after they hung him? :confused:Interesting.

One part of me is very proud that this country has evolved to the point where a black man is running for President. I mean, this is a real accomplishment.

They would certainly have never allowed a black man to be President. They would have never envisioned the day that it could happen. Remember you had to be a white male landowner to vote...

As for his political views, the Founding Fathers would certainly have disagreed with Obama's outlook. Federal government was supposed to form the alliance that united the individual states - hence the name of the country. The government was not designed for the purpose of redistributing wealth. They would have never wanted the US federal government to have the power that it does today. But I'm sure they also didn't foresee the events of the past 232 years.

Just think what our country would be if it were still white male landowners doing all the voting. Better or worse? lol, this last line is special for JC

Danny, my statement really was a rhetorical question, because his race AND politics would both have been an issue...

They would have whooped his ass and told him to get back to work ...........

Honestly , his color has way less to do with me not voting for him than his inexperience or lack of ability to lead this nation in hard times . Hell the world knows he's soft . Even Biden said that a test would be coming his way within 6 months after taking office . Come on , do we really need a soft president that requires on the job training in these times ????

He wouldn't even be recognized as a legitimate political figure. His ideology to them would probably have just been a fleeting source of amusement and generally disregarded.

I would imagine it wouldn't have been a good idea to preach about socialism after the birth of the Republic.

However, this isn't confined to Obama. The bailout was a giant leap forward to a new and different world in America. Old school America is long gone. It's just nostalgic people like us sitting around musing about the way things used to be.
