He says on like the 5th or 6th page that the grooves are in the combustion chamber to promote faster movement of the air/fuel mixture to the center of the cylinder for more power or something.

wow.. I've seen it all. I think his main goal was to get paint on EVERYTHING. He succeeded.

Now, the grooves in the head - I've seen that before. A guy I used to work with had a brother who was really into that shit. They made some pretty bold claims with that kind of work.

Notice the grooves are machined with a specially ground cutter, they are not hand cut.

The part I don't understand is that the first pics of the grooves show a head surfaced on a belt sander (yes, that's common practice in the rebuild market).

I havent seen the grooves or whatever but I did some extensive research on that very topic if indeed they are "singh" grooves that he was after. They do affect the flame kernel and do promote a better flame front. As far as how much power the grooves were worth was still a bit skeptical on what I found on a machinist website I was digging through.
