Is there anyway to sync my gmail account to microsoft outlook? Everytime I click on a link to email on a website it always brings up my outlook and asks me to set up my email account on that. I don't use email through my ISP though, so is there anyway to do like I want?

Ok i activated my POP mail but my Outlook isn't getting the messages that I get in my Gmail. Should I be getting them both at my gmail and my outlook, or is it that I can just send it from my outlook and it'll attach my gmail addy to it?

What error message do you received when you try to "send and receive?" via the gmail account that I ASSUME you have setup in outlook?

Did you change your gmail settings to allow the POP to take over the account? Once you're setup in OL, you will have full control of your gmail account through OL. Perhaps this step-by-step is a little easier:

Thanks for the second link. It took some time fiddling around with the settings and I finally just tried the "default" settings and it seemed to work. For whatever the reason some of the numbers they had in there weren't right.

Don't use POP with Gmail. Use IMAP.
