View Full Version : X360, trouble w/ clean disc off. BRAND NEW GAME no scrathes on it.

WTF is going on with this damn thing....... build month was this july and it doesn't read games for shit...... brand new NCAA 09 out of the box says disc is dirty. Halo3 says game won't fucking start.... PISSING ME OFF.

My ps2 used to do the same thing and I would take the cover off and remove the cover over the laser and clean it with rubbing alcohol and a q-tip. Worked well doing that every 3-4 months while I was using it a lot.

does it still play movies??? It sounds like the beginning of the no read error that MS has been quiet on, call MS and get ready to wait for 2 weeks...

That is what i was gonna say. Laser could be going bad or need a recal but either way send it in.

you call 1-800-4-my-xbox

They will create a repair ticket.

They will e-mail you labels to print and put on a box.

You take it to a UPS drop off

1 week later you get your XBOX (most likely a refurb unless they fix yours which will make the 1 week thing possibly take longer).

Took EXACTLY a week for it to come to me.
