Ok, I've talk about this before but I wanted to make a separate thread about this.
Bazuko, move on, you big balla on line poker bitch. :D
Pokerstars has stared this sit n go tournaments called "Double Ups". Being the tight ass I am when it comes to online poker I play the $5+.20 Turbo Double Ups.
There are 10 people in each tournament. 5 will get $10 back and 5 will donate $5 to the others.
If you are a half-ass poker player you should still do well. I'm running about 75% in the money on these tournaments with, I'm guessing about 200 played (small sample size, but damn these things are easy.)
Playing the turbos take about 30 minutes a piece and I'm four tabling at the moment. I'm pretty sure you could 8 table these things while drinking they are so brain dead. But my other monitor watches the market and the other, well, I have to work so I only dedicate one monitor to online poker.
So... lets take 4 tabling with a 75% in the money ratio.
8 tourneys per hour (4 x 30 minutes x 2)
Total Cost = 41.60
75% in the money = 60.00 (6 ITM x $10)
Net Winnings = 18.40/hr
-or-
in investing terms a return on investment of 44%
In terms of a part-time job... 20 hours a week, 50 weeks a year (you need vacation)... $18,400 a year.
Gambling winnings aren't subject to SSI tax or medicare tax but are subject to your marginal tax rate.
