Fully loaded. Its pretty fucking sweet. Has this pop out LED that lights up the whole keyboard when you are working at night and a popout wifi antenna.

I've got an HP 6536b. It's listed under their Business Series laptops, and I absolutely love it. Cost right around $1200. AMD Turon X2 Ultra (2.1 Ghz), 4 GB of RAM, 120 GB HDD, Wireless N and it's pretty solid.

Here is a bunch of decent laptops for 1200 or under. At 1299 they get better...

I would never buy anything other than Toshiba. I owned one in college and the thing was bullet proof. Only thing that went wrong with it was the first week after owning it the power button messed up and was fixed immediately. I sold it to a co worker here at work 5 years later and it is still going from what I hear.
Now my recommendation. I just purchased the Toshiba Satellite X205-S9800. These were made as mid to high end gaming laptops. 17", full num pad, Dual core processors, can support 4 gb of ram, dedicated graphics, the whole shibang.
I just got mine for $549.99 + $40 shipping (got raped on that), but there was only 1 left.
Every once in a blue moon google dallas frys ad and check out the online shopping ad, they have some killer laptop deals every once in a while. They had the X205-9898 or something like that (the SLi graphics one) for $700 one day, but they were gone really fast.

I wanted to put photoshop on it so when I make images it will be easier to get the lines and stuff right. I will be playing games, but nothing like Crysis; just CS:S, and World in Conflict. I would probably hook it up to my monitor to play the games anyway.

copy/paste some of those links above, I think a lot of those should do okay for that. Do you have a specific place you wanna buy from?

K, none of the ones you all posted were touchscreens. IDC where I buy it from. Bought the only thing I don't want is a AMD processor. Don't the Core 2 Duo's do better than the Turion? :p
How good specs wise is this lets say for gaming. Fujitsu T1010 (http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11307074&whse=BC&Ne=4000000&eCat=BC|84|56670|75279&N=4024829&Mo=8&No=1&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&cat=75279&Ns=P_Price|1||P_SignDesc1&lang=en-US&Sp=C&hierPath=84*56670*75279*&topnav=)

I don't think Gaming and Tablet go together.

It is a laptop with a touchscreen. I am not going to use the touchscreen to play CS:S. :p Might be cool for some other games though. how good is the x4500 video card?
