So I just installed some ram in my old machine.
I went from one stick of 512 pc2700 to two 1gig pc3200
Everything works fine, but now the computer is making a high pitched, for a lack of a better word, Electrical buzz and its not any of the fans.
Any ideas??

Thats what I've been thinking. Seems to get louder near there, but I really can't tell where the hell the noise is coming from.
Welp, I better start copying shit.

Haha, I knocked the system fan plug out. That was causing the buzzing. :D

I need to do the same thing to mine. You notice a difference with the additional RAM?

cheapest most effective way of upgrading a system. however make sure you buy some RAM thats compatible with your motherboard.

Yea, I ended up doing the same thing. Upgraded from 512 to 2Gb. Definitely helped. Next will be hard drive and video card upgrade. :)
