And fucking damaged the e-port on my xbox.......Nothing else is damaged here and I was on live last night when it happened. Big flash....big boom....and blank screen only to be followed by a "CABLE HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED/NO CONNECTION" error. Obviously, I am not using a router or anything......not exactly sure what kind of connection I have....Antenna on house....120v power supply with a cat5 cable coming from wall and plugging into a connector that has a square box with another cat5 cable coming from it. On the box it says for one cable to go to computer/x-box and the other from radio. It obviously works as I am here typing this bs. ANybody have any ideas.......?? Worst case scenario I have to file a claim on my home-owners but I would rather not unless I get upgraded for the trouble... :D

Is your 360 not covered?

MS warranty that is.

Luckily my 360 wasn't plugged in.....I was on the original xbox playing BF2-MC when it happened. Now.....thats not to say that it wasn't if I have to go the home owners insurance route. :D

It will prob cost more for the ded than fixing the xbox.

I don't get it. .. why not contact microsoft, if it's under warranty, and say it's broken? They don't NEED to know it was lightning strike. :)

If it's an original Xbox and not a 360 it's probably pretty old and out of warranty I would think

LMFAO! your homeowners isn't going to do you any good.

mainly because you have to meet your deductible before they'll pay for a covered loss... and I'm willing to bet your deductible is 1k or higher
