I used to listen to that stuff, and still do from time to time, but I get bored pretty quick with hearing nothing but solo after solo after solo... I'll take Satriani as my favorite of the heavy greats just for the fact that the Surfing with the Alien album was the most ass kickingest piece of music I had ever heard way back when I was a wee lad.

Very cool man. Not many people out there really get into shred these days. As far as Petrucci is concerned, he is just a machine in a human body. Scenes from a Memory just fucking blows my mind.

you guys should check out dragonforce, came across them on a game and got hooked. it's like vai and satriani started a band and played dual leads.

they are coming to house of blues in november, for 55 bucks you get a vip seat, membership in the fan club, a t-shirt and meet and greet with the band at the concert. thats a damn good deal.

I don't like his personality, politics, or music. Guy could die tomorrow and I wouldn't give two shits.

Over all it was a good show.
It's all about Yngwie, in his mind.
Ripper was awesome and I'm dissipointed he didn't get to sing more.
All the solo's and shit was starting to get old and started to all sound the same.
I wish there would have been less smoke, less solo's and more actualy songs with lyric's.
I was getting a good laugh out of him getting pissed off over his mic not working and running out of picks. I was waiting for him pull a Axle and throw the guitar down and walk out.
Really looking forward to seeing Buckethead next month
i thought it was good, i had fun. although i almost got into a fight with a fat little drunk dude when he tried to cut in line.

It was awesome! I was infront of the stage, I had to look up the whole time though cause the stage was as tall as me.. lol. The guy next to me was getting on my nerves, if yall saw a huge bald guy with a tattoo'd head in the front I was right beside him, he kept lifting up his kid on his shoulders.
I got yngwie to sign my wallet and I got one of his picks.. :)
I'll be at Buckethead as well next month.
that tattoo head dude was fucking annoying.
he was around back yelling at one of the guys that works for the granada about how the show was bullshit cuz he could tell his amps weren't setup right and knows because he has the exact same setup.
i got hit with a pick twice.
buckethead ftw, can't wait.
and opeth next week

When I walked in I went over to the merchandise both and the lady running it was trying to sell Yngwie guitar picks 5 for 15 bucks, I laughed and walked off. Then during the show he threw about 32,000 picks in the audiance. I bet someone felt ripped off if they bought any picks. lol
I stayed up in the balcony the whole show but I seen the kid down there sitting on that guys shoulders.
That first band sucked worse than anything I think I have ever heard before.
If you haven't seen Buckethead before it's a bad ass show.
