Sunday Night, "Instant Green" drag racing. Get practice, test those reactions -without- the benefit of yellows! (or red-lights!)
Perfect for beginner racers since its all just for fun anyway...

Just seeing if we can get the same amount or more 'Stangs out here at the Kendale track this Sunday?!?! I am going to be there for sure. + it'll be my b-day, so I wil prolly smack into the wall or something special like that. :D

Hope its as good as I missed last week...the weather is supposed to be good!

It is very good practice for me, Getting me ready to run out at Ennis so I don't get so trashed like I did last time I ran out here.

Also I will see if I can talk both of my roommates to bring out their stangs again.

I am also going to try and talk of few of my other friends into comming out and having a good time.

I might be out there but i won't be in my car, i will be driving my brother's car, i won't race ir cause its real slow for a 5.0. Just look for a white fox body stang out there not racing. Maybe in a couple of weeks i might have my 89GT out there or even my 98GT. Even if i'm not racing, I still like watching it, hope to see yall out there

Watching is definitely half the fun of the track... Nobody is pressured into racing...HELL, it makes for quicker run rotations and staging for the racers if there is less people running. Of course, this only applies to really busy nights. :D My car definitely isnt a racer yet, but I still go and watch, and take a swing every now and then.

No sweat tho... It'll be cool of you to just come and hang out...eat some freaky-ass track food, and B.S. with everyone.

I remember it used to be if you were running in the 8's at all they would "make" you wear a helmet...they all seem pretty cool out there now, runs a lot smoother than the old days IMHO...

Who all was out at kennedale tonight/sunday?

It was alot fun, i meet Petrol out there. By the way it was nice meeting you man, and nice job of flying around that curve at the end I WAS LIKE DAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!

But all in all it was a badass night, they had a few of damn near everything out there.

And i got the fastest reaction time out of everyone in the whole time they have been doing street race night. Even out of all the professional drag guys the Farm truck came out on top as the fastest reaction time. I guess that is why the truck is named R/T lmao!

Oh yeah, my name is Scott by the way, I shoulda properly introduced myself...next time for sure :D

Yeah, I was suprised by that damn SN95 tonight...it usually just sits there and spins the wheels till I lose, then limps across the finish line like a gutless turd. But tonight it did pretty good. I was going to sell it...but decided to keep it and sell the 5.0 instead. I have WAY too many projects (read: toys) to keep up with and the driveway is starting to make my house look like something that would be in a "Sweet Home Alabama" video.

It was DEFINITELY a lot of fun...BUT we need a more defined meeting place out there...I saw one guy in a bullitt with a DFWSTANGS sticker on his car....but he didnt really socialize. Other than that...the only person I met was PsychoRT...a cool guy none the less. :D

The ONLY thing I wish they would change out there, is to have the times up in the lights at the end of the track. I will call them and see what the reason for having them off is. Maybe we can get them to turn 'em on.

mike ran some damn decent times with his bullitt tonight!!! i was much pleased!!

my times, well, lets not talk about that. i ended up catching the waterbox BOTH runs, and was unaware. :( 60 foots were in the fucking shitter. i ran the last of the last runs against another bullitt, and he woulda killed me if i hadnt outshifted his ass down the track. :(

come up and say hi, guys. were gonna start meeting somewheres up there at a pre-determined time.

The reason they dont show times is the whole Streetracer appeal. so you really dont know how fast the other guy is. I like the idea, because you have what is called time watchers, they sit there for the first 20 minutes and watch who is runing what then go out and beat you cuz they know this info.

But yea ill be out there every sunday trying to get that pos to run right. I get decent 60's out there 2.1's on street z rated goodyear kdws's. I just do the good ole prostock burnout and they tend to stick to the track. Then the truck falls on its face about mid track lol.

I wanted to race one of them drag cars though just to say i tree'd his ass lol!

:D You can still come hang out!!! Nobody says you have to race to come out there...besides half the fun is watching everyone else ragg their cars. And there is usually a phat-ass array of other cars to watch anyway...which you miss if you are sweating your ass off in the staging lanes :D

i remember the green GT because of the black cobra rimes. i liked those.

the dakota was getting hot-lapped, i saw it last sunday too. nice launches, BTW!

if you guys remember the 4 door GTP hotlapping, that was laced dayquil.

me and 32Vfromhell were chillin' for the most part, we were carless. :(

I might be too tired when I get back from Scarborough Faire. I really want to go since I haven't been there in like over a year, and that was when I had my 6,050lb Flareside that only ran 10.1's. At least I beat most of the ricers though.

Hee hee hee...I love it when the big trucks get out there and stomp the ricers. My 96GT was running 9.4 sec out there...but it is as stiff as a board, and was originally setup for road-racing...so I dont blame it for sucking-ass on the dragstrip. I didnt lose any of my 'races' out there tho. :D

the whole point of instant green is to show who can outdrive the other guy. pick your match, run, and go back again. if you can pop a better RT and 60', sometimes you can beat a faster car. its supposed to simulate street racing.
