So apparently on another board I made one post about a Corvette. I got a PM from a guy that says he appreciated what I said ( :confused: ) and told me about his latest trip to Bloomington with his brother, a Vette collector. I told him that was cool, talk to you later... and got this. Check it out! lol
coupla years ago..after he got back, i asked him just what was a good buy-this-year?
SEEMS AS IF SOMEONE BROUGHT A 'complete/original' L88 roadster
[for-the-life-of-me a 67 or 68??? something like 25 or 30 produced?]
W/ something-like 20 thousand miles on the clock,
kinda like a ' shabby garage find'. he watched it come out-of-the-trailer, he said it was all original down to the front tires-'never-being-off-the-car'...
[these people L@@K for lug-wrench marks! nuts and skinned rim paint]
anyway it was on-the-ground for less than 20 minutes! someone paid $65,000 for it! my question what was it worth restored.....
his answer $125,000 to $250,000 bloomington gold-quality! he said he did not 'come-prepared to buy, so he passed on it. now that was 'coupla years ago',
in these 'hard times' lotza people w/ lotza
disposable $$$ or discretionary $$$ are the ones making 32 fords go for mega $$$--just maybe?
[with only 19 'documented' 55 stick-shift, corvettes, those stick shifts used to change-hands at $70,000 or so, betcha the lotza people w/lotza $$$ are buying up the high $$$ vettes at whatever they want to pay? gonna have to do a L@@K at PRO-VETTE---or whatever their name is--- in ohio to chek prices--this rant has my curiousity up!]
me i'm glad to own my clear and free home, PLUS all rolling-stock free and clear. in a 3 square mile city just west of dearborn, michigan that has over 300 repossessed homes within its city limits!
dearborn, michigan is number TWO city in michigan w/ repossessed homes---the largest concentration of arabic 'peoples' out-side-of-the-middle-east-----betcha you did not know that!
the NATIONAL arabic/ middleast museum is just two miles east of FOMOCO WORLD HQ! dearborn was the home of orville hubbard as mayor for about 30 years, he kept the OBAMA'S out as long as he was mayor......after he was GONE the middleast group 'took-over!'
