I know you're laughing, but remember that they were the ones who outed John Edwards:

http://www.nationalenquirer.com/national_enquirer_world_exclusive_sarah_palins_sec ret_lover_revealed/celebrity/65481

In a world exclusive The NATIONAL ENQUIRER names GOP VP Candidate Sarah Palin's secret lover!

No less than three members of the man’s family including one by sworn affidavit have claimed that Sarah Palin engaged in an extramarital affair with hus*band Todd’s former business partner, Brad Hanson.

These sources have named Hanson as Palin’s secret love, and say their affair nearly wrecked both their marriages.

Hanson owned a snowmobile dealership with Palin’s husband Todd, who immediately dissolved the partnership after he heard stories about the affair, which occurred around 1996, according to the sources. At the time, Palin was mayor of Wasilla.

Palin has vehemently de*nied cheating on her hus*band, and Hanson insisted to The NATIONAL ENQUIRER that he was never romantically in*volved with the 44-year-old Republican vice presiden*tial candidate.

However, Hanson family insider, Jim Burdett, has gone on the record and passed a rigorous polygraph test, revealing de*tails of the affair to The NATIONAL ENQUIRER in a world exclusive interview.

Burdett is a former brother-in-law of Hanson’s estranged wife Carolyn's brother, Craig Batton, and still speaks with many family members.

“I’ve known about Brad having had an affair for a long time, but it wasn’t until just recently that I learned his affair was with Sarah Palin,” Burdett told The NATIONAL ENQUIRER.

“Sarah was elected mayor of Wasilla, Brad became a city council member in the nearby town of Palmer, and they started an affair.

“Todd found out about the affair and was so mad he broke up their partnership at the snowmobile dealership,” Burdett claimed.

Another source, who preferred to remain anonymous for fear of repercussions, provided The NATIONAL ENQUIRER with a sworn affidavit attesting to the Palin-Hanson story.

“Todd was away on business a lot and Sarah felt lonely. Brad was a good listener, and Sarah talked to him at length. Eventually, she real*ized she was falling in love with him,” one insider divulged.

“When Todd got back from one of his trips, Sarah told him that she had begun to have feelings for Brad.”

She "talked to him at length" and that equals an affair?

LOL... I thought it was funny when the National Enquirer sent a team of five to Alaska to dig up some dirt. Looks like they got what they wanted.

So let's just assume it's true. I thought Democrats approve of extramarital affairs. Their favorite President did it while in office and I didn't hear an uproar from them about it.

Yep, if it turns out to be true, let's see how the defenders of Clinton try and use it without being hypocritical.

Honestly, who gives a shit who's cheating on who? With a divorce rate of 50% and people's definitions of "marriage" and "relationships" nowadays is any of it really a surprise?

It really does matter to me. If a person cannot keep their word to the person they CHOSE to get married to and have children with, why would I trust them to be my president?

Valid point. I still think people can keep their personal lives separate from their professional life... but maybe not? I don't know. I think all people in politics are liars so it doesn't surprise me to hear that they may also be cheaters. :o

Until it is substantiated by a credible news source, I'm going to look at like I would look at their old stories on UFOs and alien abductions. All non-sense in an attempt to smear Palin.

I just mean, who gives a shit if he's pussywhooped. He's not running for office. The same could be said for Hillary. Only, it has been confirmed that Bill cheated. Many times. It was ran through the ringer with the press, and everyone else. She stayed with him, so wouldn't she be dickwhooped? Only difference is, the Palin thing hasn't been confirmed by a credible news source, and that Hillary was actually running for office, and Todd's not.

And I just mean who gives a shit if if anybody gives shit that he's pussy uh "whooped"? It was a comment. Big fuckin deal. You win. I don't care to get into a Bill/Hill them and us debate over a comment. There are many people not running for office that get commented about here. Daaayum.
I do think that the "percieved" over-protection of this woman may be detrimental eventually. If there's a less than soft question asked of her it sounds like a bunch of hens kackeling all of a sudden. :D

* And now; Back to your regularly scheduled arguing.

If it is true, I am more interested in the FoxNews pundits defending her. I can't wait to see the pretzel logic of O'Rielly, et al. Of course, they might bail out on her. It would be interesting either way.

Not hoping really. To be honest it is none of any of our business. I am not looking for her public flogging. I want Obama or McCain to win because the majority of the country supports their policies. Or feels they are more qualified. Not because of some gaffe.

My only interest would be watching FOXNews.

Valid point. But I still wonder why anyone would think a person who is dishonorable in private would somehow be honorable in public. Cheating on your spouse becomes my business the minute you ask me for your vote.

Funny, there was a story about how much influence he has over her and some far left websites said he had too much influence over her. The smears have gone every way, she is a domineering wife and she is a docile and subserviant wife. I love it!

Hey, I said they might walk away from her as well. It will be interesting both ways. I just hope that every person who comes out either to attack or defend has a recorded position on Monica-gate so we can play them side by side. Fair enough?

And can you please get past using hypocrite dems. Using hypocrite to describe a politician of either party seems first repetitive and second lazy. There are much better adjectives out there... charlatan, pretenter, dissembler, poseur, etc.

PS - and yes, I know the ulitmate laziness is to add 'gate' to make it a scandal.

I will gladly take the record of Republicans standing up and being honest in these situations, especially when it comes to major politicians.

How many of the people who defended Clinton when he had sex with a subordinate and then lied under oath attacked Sen. Craig for much less?

BTW, do you agree that Clinton should have been removed for what he did? I mean, what other leader (public or private sector) could have sex with a subordinate employeee at work in their office and then lie under oath and keep their job?

Show me anyone who cheats on his wife, has sex with a subordinate, and then commits a felony and I will show you someone I wouldn't trust to drive my car much less run the country.

I was a freaking Democrat until I saw how hypocritical the party was during this time. I could not believe the party I supported could be so low life and have no honor when they wanted to stay in power. It made me sick.

And can you please get past using hypocrite dems. Using hypocrite to describe a politician of either party seems first repetitive and second lazy. There are much better adjectives out there... charlatan, pretenter, dissembler, poseur, etc.

Hypocrite is the most appropriate term. How else do you describe a party that attacks Palin for having no epxerience and then denies Obama has less? How else do you describe a party that attacks republicans when they screw uyp after defending Clinton when he commited serious atcs that would cause most people to lose their job? I could go on about the hypocrisy, but you would never see it while in the party. I never did while I was a Dem either.

PS - and yes, I know the ulitmate laziness is to add 'gate' to make it a scandal.

LOL, it never was a scandal to you Dems, was it? I thought it was a silly right wing conspiracy.

I don't think Senator Craig should have stepped down for having gay sex on the side. That's his business, and I don't give a damn. I don't even care that he lied about it. I don't care Clinton did the same. What was annoying about all that was Gingrich denouncing him for it, then admitting to the same thing. Seriously, though, the less I hear about the sex lives of old people, the better.

Your position, while I completely disagree with it, is at least consistent. I find the people who didn't care about Clinton but cared about Craig pretty interesting. I doubt there are people who cared about Clinton but didn't about Craig, but even that makes sense since there was no real crime with Craig.
