Thank god baseball is almost over!
Cubs in 7 over the Angels...it could actually happen for them with all the crazy stuff happening (black man nominated for Pres, woman for VP, Several IB's going bankrupt, etc.)
Tampa vs Cubs, Cubs lose marking the 100th year since they last won a world series

I see what you did there.
I predict Arod and Jeter ride together and sit next to each other while watching the Dodgers kick the crap out of the Rays.

About 2 months ago - My Dad and I were talking baseball - I think the ultimate would be Cubs/Rays - Cubs take it in 6
It would be great for ratings and great for the game in general.
Of course if the Cubs win the series, Cubs fans will probably spontaneously combust from not having anything to mope about. :D

How would that matchup be any better for Baseball than say Angels vs. Cubs. The Rays can't even come close to filling their own park. Financially, that would be the worst AL side of any possible matchup.

Cubs fans are EVERYWHERE, they will fill whatever park they play in(in the postseason). I went to Spring training in Phoenix last year - there were more Cubs fans there per capita than any other of the teams that train there.
The Rays are the best story of the year, besides the Yankees not making it. :D
Don't get me wrong, I like Mike Scioscia - I think he's one of the best managers in the game but watching the Angels(and most AL teams) play bores me. I can't quite put my finger on it. To me the Rays are more exciting to watch and that's what I'm looking for in baseball.
Making the most money is not always what is best for baseball(or in life for that matter). I'm sure plenty of people would disagree but money is not everything.

Rays (because i dont wanna see the red sox in the world seriers again) vs. Dodgers.......I think its great that the first year after firing Torre the Yanks choke and dont even make the playoffs and the team Torre goes to (the Dodgers) wins their first division in forever....it would be nice to see ol Dodger Blue win the world series

I pick Ivan Demidov
I got to be a hometown homer... Craig Marquis.
Underdog but I think he doubles up early and puts a lot of pressure on the big stacks early.

I like the Dodgers but I like Phillies for keeping the Mets out of the post season, since my Braves didn't play well this year. :(
I'd prefer the Rays over Boston. I am way past tired of the Red Sox/Yankees crap that gets played out every year.
ALCS/NLCS should be good series' though as long as nobody sweeps.
