norm brought up a good point today that i never even considered. dallas still has a 1st round pick from cleveland next year. cleveland's current performance is resulting in the value of that pick to go up.
detriot is doing terrible. coach just got shit-canned. roy williams was already unhappy and is going to be a free agent anyways. trades talks will swirl soon.
not sure what's going on with arizona and boldin. i know he wasnt happy with his contract and he is outperforming fitzgerald at the moment.
this is very nice position to be in for the cowboys. anyone know when the trade deadline is? :D
I sure thought Felix Jones was compliments of the Browns.

AZ basically pulled a Cincy. They said Boldin is locked in to a contract, and he isn't going anywhere. In other words, they're getting their money's worth. Same thing Cincy did to Ocho Cinco. He can play, or he can ride the pine, but he'll be doing one or the other in Cincinatti.
Roy has been rumored to want out. I just don't know if Roy would be worth a trade. I'm fairly happy with everyone on the team, with the exception of Crayton. If we could get rid of Crayton for Roy, we'd be in good shape. Detroit would be stupid to make that deal though. Now, if we can pick him up in FA, I'd be ok with that.
Something tells me the Cleveland pick isn't going to be for a WR, though. I think it will either be a QB, or a lineman. Hurd and Austin both have the potential to become stars, if they stay healthy.

Out of the two I would get Roy Williams. He would be the ideal Alvin Harper type of WR for the Cowboys. He can catch a deep ball and that's what they need. That's if Romo can throw it that far.

We already used Clevelands first round pick on Felix Jones, Unless im missing something. Roy Williams would be a good fit, he's says in today's sport section he wants to get old at home, meaning Texas of course.

He did, but I thought we got two first rounders out of them for some reason.

I thought we swapped first rounders the year the trade was made and got an additional 1 and 3 for the next year which we used on Felix Jones and Tashard Choice.

oh here is what happened in the 07 draft:
The Browns trade for Dallas' first rounder to select Brady Quinn. It's Cleveland's 2nd round pick, plus next year's 1st rounder. So, 13 spots for next year's top pick. Dallas can still expect a very good wide receiver in the early second 2nd round - plus a likely top 10 pick next season (Cleveland ain't goin anywhere).
Umm.. Philly trades with Dallas... first rounder for the Cowboys' 2nd (from Cleveland), 3rd and 5th. Cowboys use the pick to get Anthony Spencer. ESPN8 "The Ocho" now reporting that Andy Reid has just been fired.
i guess that means no additional 1st rounder in 09. norm was wrong.

dallas has Cleveland's 3rd, Detroit's 4th, Miami's 6th, and our 6th was traded to Tennessee

i bet packaging the 3rd and 4th we've aquired we could get a very nice young wr but whats the point? if we dont get a big name (roy williams) in free agency then theres not really a neccesity to get a young wr. we have crayton, hurd, and austin. not to mention they are still hellbent on stanbeck. i would much rather see us get a better saftey than anything else. watkins is starting to come around but he seems to get hurt quite a bit even if it is small bumps and bruises. would like to see us get a middle linebacker that can stay healthy too. hopefully we will get one more year out of zach thomas after this season and we could get a mlb to sit behind him and brady james for a year.

Crayton is pathetic. He's a #3 receiver, and will never be anything more on this team. He's not getting any better, period. Jerry is a fucking moron for giving him a huge contract.

In hindsight, with the shortage at WR, I guess we need him. He returned punts at one time (didn't he?), but no longer does that.

Yeah, I saw that too. He'll be a free agent unless the Lions slap the franchise tag on him.

:D
Care to elaborate? Anyone that knows shit about football, knows that Crayton is a #3 receiver. Nothing more, nothing less. You just don't pay your #3 receiver what they paid Crayton. It's absurd. The only reason he's a #2 here, is because we don't have anyone better at the moment. You better believe, as soon as we get a solid #2, he's going to fall down the depth chart.

Now that Millen is gone, I think they will be open to trades. I guess we'll see, though. Williams for Williams, and toss Crayton in the deal and be done with it.

LMAO, yeah...that MIGHT work in Madden. Let me give you my safety who can't cover his own shadow, my shitty ass 2nd receiver, and ummm...some Miller Light for a top ten receiver. lol

the title "official beer" is so overused.
coors = official beer of the nfl
miller = official beer of the cowboys
bud = official beer of the superbowl
they all officially suck.

His longest punt return was maybe 5 yards. He was horrible at returning just like receiving

Yeah, and he was actually very good at it in college, too. It was one of the reasons the Cowboys originally signed him.

Dallas better hurry the fuck up if they want Roy Williams. The 49ers are contacting Detroit about a possible trade. So much for waiting for free agency.
