View Full Version : Ron Paul for treasury secretary!
It seems he is the only guy in Washington with a clue as to what is going on:

Ron Paul, just like Ross Perot before him, seems to understand that our current system will cease to work at some future point. However, the changes they propose are so radical, they can't gain support. They want to dismantle America's empire in a controlled manner. Unfortunately, it's going to have to change through catastrophe.

if you want to find a lot of Ron Paul supporters, just drive through Oregon,Washington, and upstate Idaho. Tons of signs there. He makes sense but like a poster said it will take catastrophes in the economy, foreign defense, global warming, etc before radical thinking and changes are implemented. We are well on our way to these meltdowns.

I wish I didn't think you were right about that. We're going down, and it's not gonna be pretty, and we've got our heads too far up our own asses to see it.

RON PAUL WAS THE ONLY TRUE ANSWER TO THIS FUCKED UP NATION
Quoting yourself FTL.
An answer to this nation? I was unaware this nation is a question.
I'd rather have him dealing with this country's finances than Barry or John, no doubt, but in the end some of his ideas were too far out there for the American people to grasp. Some of them were right, some of them were wrong, but regardless he missed the "change in moderation" memo somewhere down the line.

It makes me sad that a guy that obviously cares so much for his country wasnt picked by his party to run for president. It almost seemed like people didnt even want to give him the time of day in the debates. He was willing to talk for hours about the issues and he was constantly cut off. Thats the kind of person i want to be president, not someone who is about getting rich or their personal image or just sits there and doesnt have a intelligent personal opinion and who instead outsources it to "think tanks". I loved everything he said the first time i heard him speak. It made perfect sense and i believe he is more right than alot of people will accept. His ideas are dramatic but thats what has to be done to fix this fuck up. All the government will do now is slap a band aid on the problem, a quick fix to keep it going but as was stated, it will come crashing down.
And to assholes who call me democrat and socialist, ron paul is what a true republican is supposed to be.
They completely picked the wrong candidate, ron paul would whip the floor with obama and they were be a huge difference between them. These two we got are all over the place and intermingled, its almost like they are the same person. Peoples opinions on them varies simply on what minor views are more important to them while ignoring the major ones but i believe ron paul talks deeply about the issues that everyone can relate to.

Not even close. The problem with Paul is that you pick him to "fix the economy" (which no President ever will or can do), then you have him as a package deal for EVERY issue... No thanks.
BTW, my financial status has nothing to do with who is in office. I make my own decisions, good or bad, just like everyone else. The only difference is that I take responsibility for them, instead of blaming it on some administration.

Exactly. Ron Paul is NOT the answer. The President has very little to do with the economy. His not being nominated just gives these whiney vaginas something else to cry about.
The President has very little to do with the economy.
Well I'm glad your letting Jimmy Carter off the hook and not giving any credit to Reagan. I guess we could also stop blaming the tech bubble and proceeding recession on Clinton and strike down the points for Bush's tax cuts?

I'm just saying. All you jackasses that are all over Ron Paul's nuts, wanted him as the nominee for his financial policy alone. Forget foreign policy. Forget that he wanted to "pull out immediately" (yeah, that would have gone over like a turd in a punch bowl), etc.
Yes, the President has an impact. However, the president doesn't determine every little thing that is fucked about our economy. Had he been nominated and elected, he wouldn't have been able to fix a fifth of what he talked about.
