The government now wants $1.7 Trillion for the bailout package. The US$ is going down like a turd today and gold is way up. It looks like the US$ will do a defacto devaluation to inflate away the cost.

Curious how long before they just decide to wipe out every debt in America and call it even.
And then send every taxpayer a bill for $15K.

I think these executives should get nothing & like it.
"Also, companies that unloaded their bad assets on the government in the massive rescue would have to limit their executives’ pay packages and agree to revoke any bonuses awarded based on bogus claims, according to a draft of the plan obtained Monday by The Associated Press."

There need to be some federal charges pressed against these executives who sucked up these bullshit mortgages. I also think that the broke ass people who defaulted on their mortgage should also be penalized somehow.

I take a wait and see attitude on gas prices.
I remember all the $5-$6 gallon fervor this summer and gas prices dropped over $.50 prior to the hurricanes.
Let's take it day by day. Speculation will always be catastrophic.

This move in gasoline will not be due to speculation. If the government swamps the world with $1.7Trillion, that is inflationary. The UD$ will drop, or buy less, which means that oil will cost more. If printing money were a road to prosperity Zimbabwe will be the rulers of the world.

Or take a 25yr prison sentence for the way they deliberately abused credit law to defraud their customers (and now all taxpaying citizens).

Unfuckingbelievable:mad:
What did they expect to happen? They should have just raised interest rates and let those that fucked themselves in the ass take it in the ass, let the dollar rise, oil fall and let a correction happen.
See Bush, socialism doesn't work:mad:
