A Chapter 11 bankruptcy document filed by Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc says that Barclays has identified eight individuals out of the New York staff of 10,000 who are vital to make the deal succeed and a further 200 who are identified as “key”. It is thought that these eight directors will be locked into two-year contracts worth between $10m and $25m a year. http://business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/business/industry_sectors/banking_and_finance/article4795072.ece

Man, I never thought I'd agree with Barney Frank about fiscal conservatism, but he did a great interview today on NPR, about wanting congressional oversight of whatever the Treasury does with the $700billion they want.

Barney Frank? The "twink" that was "guarding" Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae? He and Charlie Rangel are a huge part of what's wrong with congress "watching" financial institutions...

Shit, if I was one of those people I'd make them pay me too.

Barney Frank is a fat slob.

We shouldn't have to pay them that much. What are they going to do for a job?

Ex-Lehman exec: Why yes, I worked at that bankrupt company Legman and I did a great job at it too.
