I am going to start shopping around in a month or so, to get new speakers, maybe subs. I really have no clue at all about car audio. All I know is :speaker, sub, head unit, tweeter(sp?). I had an 02 with the Mach 1000, I liked it, but it still didn't have good sound quality.

So will someone point me in the right direction. The car is a 03 gt coupe, has the 6-cd mach460. Oh, and I can spend up to around $300-400

Thanks

I would say EW can help you with that. $300-$400 is not alot I wonder how good of a system you can buy for that?

Average install is what 300 bucks for amp, subs, head unit. Probably 300 to install...

if your looking for something better than a mach-1000 for $400 installed your not gonna get it... if you bought everything slightly used or on sale and installed it yourself you could get away with $400 prob.

not saying $400 will be worthless, just dont expect a whole new system and for it to be tons better than a premium factory setup

you can probably get a head unit that offers a bit more versatility (ipod hookup, mp3, sat radio/hd radio) than the stock head unit for 300 but thats about it.
