Just talked to Mark Seaton about my sub. He will be shipping it out tomorrow afternoon, or first thing Monday morning.
Let the countdown begin! :D
On a sad note...
My other subs will be sold this weekend. So, for the first time in many many years, I will be without a sub :(

Is this the sub that you need a forklift to move or did you go another direction?

I went another direction. This one will only weigh about 150lbs :D

I'd be counting the minutes until it came in. Sounds like it should be a beast. That sub makes my 85lb SVS seem like a toy.

Well, I am officially sub-less :(
Guy just drove away with my main subwoofer.
Now I wait.....

Nick, when you get your new sub you definitely need to demo or even consider making a waterfall chart on the coming mother scene on The Haunting DTS-ES.
That scene will do 120db at -10 below reference on a calibrated system. ;)
If you don't have that movie, I might just bring it with me when I ever get my car over to your place. For some good infrasonic stuff you need to watch the ice field scene in Titan A.E DTS.

Nope. He had issues with one of the drivers. Should've shipped already, but I haven't received a FedEx email yet :( He emailed me and told me I would have it by the weekend, so we'll see. I've waited this long, whats another couple of days, right? :(

I only got to play with it for about an hour yesterday. It's different, that's for sure. Hits lower than any of my HSU subs, but doesn't vibrate anything. I was playing something yesterday that goes down to about 8hz, and the sub was smooth. No vibrating, no shaking, nothing. But you could feel the pressure. I bet you could place a glass of water on this sub, and not see any vibration from it.
My plan is to play with it a bit more today, and move it around a bit. Get some measurements, and maybe get some EQ'ing done to it(not sure if I'll have time for this or not).

Sweet! Is that room real "live" from the hardwood and walls or do you have some sort of dampening material up?
Nick Chapman

Here's my first graph with the new sub. Needs some EQ'ing in a few places.

That blows. Is that why you have processors and what not to try and cancel some of it?

No, nothing can help that aside from room treatments. And that isn't going to happen in this living room. A new dedicated HT room is in the works, and will be finished within the next couple of months. I can do whatever I want in that room :D

I think everything starting at that peak at 7hz and below is not real. Not sure why it's reading like that.
Yes, it does sound nice. I'm impressed with it so far. Still tweaking though. Might play with some more placement options today, and see how that works.

Yeah, I watched that movie prior to my new sub. It shook everything in the house, I can't imagine what it would do with the new sub :D

Hows the sub? Anything ever come of the dedicated theater room? I have been thing about adding on to my house behind the garage for a theater and a wet bar.

The sub is still awesome! Spent a good deal of money on it, but I don't have any regrets. It's far exceeded my expectations.
The HT room was postponed because someone decided to move their mother in. But thats all changing today :D Tonight I will have an empty house :bigok: Plans for the HT room will get back on track soon.

I thought you guys split a few weeks ago?
Congrats, you'll be better off. I know how frustrated you were with some aspects of it.

We've actually been split up for a few months now, she just wouldn't leave until now. The Uhaul is being loaded up right now actually :bigok: She's been here at the house all this time, just sleeping in the other room with her daughter. After today, I'm hoping all my bad luck and frustrations will be over. It's been a rough past few months, but things are always looking better!
