I've got a Sears opener that is 5 years and 3 months old. For some reason BOTH remotes have stopped working.
The wireless remote that is mounted on the outside of the garage door still works, so I know the reciever in the unit is working.
So, I looked up online and Sears wants $40 each for a damn remote!
I found that the Sears units are made by Chamberlain and have found them for $20 each, but before I order them I was wanting to know if there was a local place I could pick one up (just to test and make sure before I buy both of them).
Thanks

I got a pair at home depot that are either visor mount or keychain mount for like $25 each.

whats the part number on your remote? I have several. Should be something like 139.xxxxxxx
Other than that, check eBay as there may be some local dealers posting Craftsman remotes there.

I replaced the battery with a new one, but it had been in my gun safe for a while. My Nightforce scope uses the same battery as my garage door opener
I got some new ones and now it works fine. I guess the other battery was dead too.
Thanks..

Can you re-learn them? I have Genie door openers and they have a "learn" button on them. Mine will perodically loose programming.

Go to Lowes or Home depot. They should either have universal remotes or that brand. Lowes carries Genie not sure about Home depot.
