I think Home Depot was running a promo @ $50 for install. I normally prefer to do these things myself but for $50 I'd let them do it
promo is over. I just called. now its about $300 for a genie, in stalled. I'm on my way to sears to see what's up

ok, I know a guy that does testing for Overhead Doors and has the hookup on new Genies in the box. Let me know if you want his contact info.

I charge $50.00 to install a Genie Operator if YOU buy the operator.

Really depends on where you live in relation to where I'm at.
Any operator is easy to put up.

Craftsman = Liftmaster. Liftmaster is by far the best choice. Not hard to install. $50 bucks is cheap to install though.

Dacotua is good. He came and squared away my broken garage door that the install company has screwed up twice....still working like a champ. I do need to adjust the 3rd car side but he helped with that one and didn't even charge me over what we agreed upon for fixing the one door.

as long as you have a ladder to help prop it up or an extra hand its simple and doesnt take much time at all...

the extra hand was my wife's and we bickered the whole time as I tried to explain to her what I needed her to do. I would have paid 50 bucks not to deal with that.
so the door bell wakes me up at 8 this morning. Turns out my wife called sears to come over and do it a few days ago. boy am i glad she did. That guy knocked it out in 30 min and he did such a good and clean job.
