Has anyone heard anything about a 3rd one recently? I know the director said he was interested in it. I need a new zombie flick :o

They started with too broad of a time frame. They could have started at 28 seconds later, then minutes -> hours -> days ->weeks ->months ->years, et al... :p

I loved the first one. The second was OK - a third is definitely possible but they may be stretching themselves a little thin.

I liked the second better than the first, which wasn't a whole lot. Zombie movies are all the same, and have been played out forever.

28 days later was the first that I know of that actually gave the zombies speed though. It was a pretty crazy concept considering up until then zombies might as well have been immobile. Great film. 28 weeks later was good, too, but not more of an action flick than the first one.

Which was first 28 days later or the dawn of the dead remake?

28 Days Later came out in '02 and Dawn of the Dead came out in '04. I think I remember hearing somewhere that the director for The DotD remake saw 28 days later and was inspired thinking "Wow. Zombies can be fast?" and running with that.

You aren't kidding, looked like a bunch of fucking track stars in that movie. Both weren't bad, I can only imagine what a 3rd one would be like.
