Lonestar Solar Screens, great work.

Damn, just got home from work and didn't even notice it. It's raining and cloudy so I thought that was why it was a little darker in my house than normal. Check my mail and find an invoice from them hanging on my door. They look great, I went with the 90% tint. Definitely noticed it was a bit cooler in here as well. Especially upstairs (where I'm at now). I normally leave the thermostat on 87-88 up here unless I'm gonna be up there for awhile so I'll turn it down. It's at 88 right now and it feels good.
I still haven't checked them out from outside yet but overall I'm very satisfied. Since they came out with estimate it's taken about 3 weeks total. Best $192 I've spent on the house so far

They do good work, why didn't you do the other windows or do them in 80% if they don't face the sun.

Those windows don't face the sun directly, we've never had any issue's with them so I left them as they were. That's also our top balcony, so they're both covered as well

I had my whole house done... made a HUGE difference... I got the darkest shit they had since my house faces west... it cooked everything when the sun was going down, now the house easily maintains 75 degrees all day long with electric bills in the $130's.

Post is for those who are searching.

Did my multiple quotes and went with Lonestar myself. 470 for a bunch of windows (can't remember count right now) and most of them were custom grid. Got quote Monday lunch, did order Mon afternoon and had them Weds when I got home from work - installed.

Also, FWIW - Got a radiant barrier quote of 1500 for a 2600 sq ft home.

Take care,

what are the prices roughly for those. i have only 4 windows and a sliding glass door that would need it.

They would vary by the size. So, a house with 4-5 two story tall windows could easily exceed the price of a house with 14-20 smaller windows. Easiest thing would be to call, let them come out and measure and get the price.

I actually just had 4 more windows done for $120 so in total I spent about $312 for 11 large windows. The guy that was just out said they charged about $2 sq foot!
This time it took only 3 days after they came out to estimate and they were done. Great stuff
