im interested as well. I'd like something I can go out and shoot on the weekends and thats not too expensive. But I dont want anything thats gonna be worn out after a year or so. Whats the standard civilian upper/lower combo that would be on par with the military version?

a freind of mine says to stay awy from olympia lowers, david could propably throw in some good advice.

on an ar there are 2 main parts the upper(barrel, bolt carrier group) and the lower(stock, trigger set, grip)
