Looking at Boker knives, they can be quite pricey.
Any opinions out there? Anyone have one???

they can also be pretty inexpensive...
a lot of the area EMT and LEO's carry the Boker AK47's because they're push button auto, decent enough blade, and they're cheap enough that if they get contaminated w/ bio fluids, they're "disposable"

I like my boker automatic for playing with around the house. It hasn't seen much real use, and it likely won't but I've owned a few other bokers and they were okay, but never anything exceptional for the money.

I did not know this, but there are different grades of Bokers:
Boker Knives - Made in Solingen, Germany
Boker Arbolito - Made in Argentina
Boker Plus - Made in Taiwan
Cinch Knives by Boker - Made in Solingen, Germany
Magnum Knives - Made in Taiwan and China
Marttiini Knives - Made in Finland
Opinel Knives - Made in France
The cheaper AK47s are Magnums, which means they are made in Taiwan/China.

I had a Top Lock and it was an awesome knife until I lost it.

It just depends on the blade material. I have had several cheaper knifes but the blades never hold an edge. Boker does have some cool fighting knives. :)

My Boker was 40$, cheaper than most in its class. It has AUS-8 stainless steel. Not the most expensive, but it's pretty handy when hunting. I may get another with partially serrated blade.
