Sorry about the toe comment, I was just jokin'... Didn't think it would derail the thread like it did...

Just get a flat top and get comfortable with open sights. Then if you want to spend the $$$ get some kind of optics.


Personally, unless I'm hunting, I don't use optics. I've got a nice AR-Varmiter that I have a Nikon scope on, but I've got 3 other ARs that have no optics whatsoever.
