I hate to see the silver/white go, but the black will look good. Are you going to keep the white wheels?

If you get rid of the white shells i might be interested. We Just bought my gf the white/silver 600 two weeks ago. Although she took the riding class i'm still worried about the time she drops it and it'd be nice to have some lying around. But the all black ones look really nice.

check out Powers Stuntworx. They have cages for around $250, and that's cheaper than replacing plastics and a stator cover or other parts. you can also do race rails, but the cage is the better protection.

foot still hurts but is better. was out of town for a week and started on the bike tonight. got part of it done and gave up when I got to the tail. then after the tail I'll do the tank.

been wanting to replace the bar ends, levers, windscreen screws, spools, etc, and do them all in anodized red. buddy says I should do them in billet or chrome. any thoughts? I just thought the red/black/white would look cool.

Looking good Paul. Really liked the original color, but the black will look cool with those wheels. Plus as anal as you are that thing will always be really clean. We all know black is tough to keep clean unless you really take care of it.

Not sure about the red. It would look good with black and red wheels, but IMO not too good with the white and black. Personally I would go with Larry's (OC) idea and do it up all black or add some white accents to make the wheels blend in more with the black fairings. Maybe do the levers and rear sets in white.

Whens the ETA for being ready for your next ride on it? You have a cage for it now?

You know it doesn't look half bad with the white tail and tank. Glad your feeling better Paul and glad to hear your making some progress on getting the bike up and running again.

I was thinking the same thing about the white and black. But I then I remembered that the white tank is pretty bad on the other side. The bike Is looking good. Glad to hear that the foot is getting better. Hope to ride with you again soon.

don't know when I'll have it done. don't ever have time for anything. I'd already been riding it naked for awhile now. Some guy on another gsxr pulled up next to me in a lane last week and asked where my plastics were. :D sure did run a lot cooler.

if the tank wasn't dented and white part of the tail cracked, I would've just swapped out the silver parts for black and leave the white.

How is the M4 pipe working for you? Good sound? We bought my gf a yoshi slip on and found out that the 08's haven't been tested with the yoshi cat yet so all we got was the pipe and i'm not happy with the sound at all. I'm thinking of selling it and buying a full exhaust for it.

unless you swap to a K7 or K6 header, a full exhaust is the only way to go since the cat is welded to the header on these bikes. The M4 opened it up big time. Made a difference in handling too since I have the full titanium system. It sounds much louder, but nice with the baffle in, and annoyingly loud without the baffle, which is how I run it. Had a friend with a stock K7 drive it home one day and he really liked it tons more than his bike.

I think it sounds real good. He was behind me for a while on the Dulin run and I could hear it with my head phones on. It was not an anoying loud either just a good sound. I hope to get mine close to that but I do not want to make the investment in a full system so I will probaly just settle for a bolt on Yoshi.

I guess since its welded that's why it didn't come with a yoshi cat like the 06-07. Looks like i'll have to sell this slip on and get her a full yoshi. She actually laid it over Saturday on the left side. Luckily the frame sliders saved it. And now i'm really really looking at getting the cage.

yeah, same reason I wanted a cage. the main thing I see with a cage is having to remove half of it on oil changes.

just noticed in your sig we have almost 3 of the same vehicles, lol. I have a quad cab fx2, sedan Si, and '08 600.

:D lol we do. My thing is i haven't seen a cage on one and i don't want it to stay on there forever. Only till she learns how to really ride. I've already enrolled her for class next weekend because me teaching her is driving me nuts. But we were looking at those cages on stuntworks
