CHEAP 73" Mitsu @ Fry's

I was at the Fry's in Irving today and noticed they had the WD-73734 for $1799 NIB. The 734 is a very solid TV, 1080p, 4 HDMI (1 in front) and a whole bunch of other features. This is a great price for that TV. The sale probably ends Tuesday evening.

Yep and the 734 is a great TV..It's only 1 more step up the ladder from the 733, but about 875 times better...

What exactly makes it so much better? I remember when I bought mine the 734 was nearly twice as much. I wasn't able to justify it.

But you're right. I don't need another giant TV. I'm still somewhat in the market for another smaller one to hang on the wall. This is a sweet deal for sure, though.

Basically, it has 4 HDMI's, better color processing and some extra bells and whistles like net command and etc. It also didn't have a 1/4 of the problems that the 733 series had, though I know you've been lucky not to have them.

Ya, the HDMI thing doesn't doesn't do anything for me. I run everything through a receiver so I only need one.

So it comes back to the color engine thing, but the colors on mine look pretty dang good. I just couldn't see paying a lot more for that. Doesn't it have a glossy black casing though? If so, that would honestly be the biggest feature for me. I'm bored with the Mitsu flat charcoal gray stuff.

But shit, this price is less than what I paid for my 733. Smoking deal for somebody.

I guess they have a new line out now, the 735 & 835? Any huge upgrades in those?
