Can the older carbon fiber 5 button remote be replaced with the new 5 button style remote?

You can use the 904075 5 button remote on the G4 and G5 models *BUT* the new silver/black 5 buttons will not work on the older stuff and vice versa.

depends on the model of alarm. Is it a 30.5, 50.5, 70.5? Let me know the model alarm and I will tell you the exact remote that will work with it. I can get it for you at the shop (Car Toys) if you need one at a discounted price. Let me know...

Those are Clifford MATRIX models not G4-G5 and the 70.5X has been recalled. No parts are available.

This is true. I didn't completely read the original I guess. There is a suppossed recall on the 70.5 however, they still haven't asked us to send the units back to the MFG. I can get ANY of the remotes however, so please get me the model number of your alarm and I can atleast give you the compatibility of other remotes. In this class of alarm, in most cases there are not many different pads available that will work other than the exact specified transmitter that is required. With some of the older, less expensive alarms, there tend to be 2 or more you can sometime program.
