I remember watching this when I was in high school and wanting a bike so bad.

HA - I remember that commercial! The reverse of that bike was my cousin's first sportbike. (red w/white) then he bought the same scheme 91F2. He's owned it since new, started a business, then a family, never got to ride it. It's mint with less than 10K miles.

My GPZ ninja 1000 wasn't scared of no damn hurricane, It was like having a fan on while it kicked ass and took names. :D ... but never the less, I will always be a fan of old school muscle.

yes it was. My first bike was an F3 and I would love a mint Erion 97 or smokin' joes just to keep around. I bid on a few on ebay last year, a mint 96 smokin' joes brought nearly 5K

I was tryin to go older than that by trying to hunt me down another suzuki GS11e and had no luck. After that bike, I bought a silver & black GPZ ninja1000. IMO, the GS11e had great torque gettin outta the hole and the ninja was like a bullet. Both are hard to come by now a days. Great memories, and as for the hurricane, I've been told it was quiet a beast back then. Just outta curiosity, what was the horsepower to weight ratio on those mc's?
