I had my roof replaced and they obviously messed up the alignment cause I have no signal. Dish Network says it will be next friday before they can come out and I was wondering if anyone on the board does this for a living and could get this done asap.
Thanks,
Andre

is getting on the roof an issue? It's not hard to do.

Buy some cheap rabitt ears until they can make it out. That's what I did in the new house beore DirecTv was installed.

all you need is a compass. pretty simple to do.

Don't even need that if it's close. Just someone inside the house that can read the signal strength. I did mine by myself, took about 3 trips to get 98% strength on Direct TV and it worked even during a tornado

LOL, yes sir, I can see my big ass rolling down the roof !
I got a hold of someone that will come out tomorrow. From further inspection today, looks like the roofer's decided to cut the cable that went from the Dish into the house via a Turbine, when they replaced the turbine.

That sounds about like a dish pro install. Can't really blame the roofers for that one.

Wow I hope you didn't pay someone to do that install for you. I don't ever recall using a roof turbine for an entry point. If you bitch loud enough at directtv or whoever maybe they will credit y ou for the crappy install you had to pay for.

When I was employed by Ultimate Electronics we were told to always use an existing 'hole'. They never wanted us to make our own entry point. I hated it, but there are some companies that do it that way. It's a liability issue when it comes to leaks and whatnot.
