After we ran the four jet cars I was drawing out the $100 slips and tossing out t shirts if anyone was there! They announced my name over the PA which I thought was pretty cool.


My dad took somewhere around 750 pictures that night too.

Probably the highlight of my summer so far, it was a car guys dream tonight!

I / we were there and had a blast. Well organized except for a few breakdowns/oildowns that were not your fault.

That was a great show they put on last night. The BHRA race has been a good show for the last few years in a row. No big accidents or anything, just lots of fast cars and hot women. ;)

Was there. Had a great time. Guy in front of me did a massive oildown at the big end of the track. Seems he broke his crankshaft.

That you did, sir. Appeared that he couldn't shut down in time, ran off the big end. The announcer said "he's out of the car" but never elaborated more. The car looked real bad. Ambulance brought the driver back to the pits, but I don't know if he was transported to the hospital or not. They called our class to stage about that time and I couldn't stick around to hear how the guy was.

yea had a good time out there, ate and drank too much but had fun.. Kennedale looks to be a pretty nice track, wish it was closer for me.

Yeah, we were there. I made quite a few bucks!
I was there and even got a 6.45 pass in trying out new tires. I was just there to get in one pass , I was like WTF is all this. It was a great event.

Yeah, I saw you guys make a couple of passes. I stayed in the stands most of the time since some of my family was there.

The driver of the jet car was ok, thehead or 2foggers told me he was down there signing autographs after the wreck - and the car was still smoldering!

Good to hear he's ok. I thought it was so cool that the car was sitting there on the wrecker with smoke still curling up out of the back of the engine like a lit cigarette sitting in an ashtray.

I was working the ET booth for BHRA. The Jet car driver was ok. I ran down there right when it happened and before I got down there (only about 75 yards away) he was out of the car getting his gear off. I don't think he had a scratch on him.

The Jet car flipped over a few times when he went into the sand. My wife did speak to him, and he was fine, he did stay in it alittle to long, Past 1/8th mile, but his chute DID NOT deploy.

He told my wife that he was done for the year, but he had plans on a new one next year so he will sit it out and wait. Yes he was signing autographs.
