Lowe's just delivered my new gas range today but didn't install it, I had to go buy the gas line connector and I'm going to do it myself.
Is this very complicated? My first house and I have never installed one of these before?
My biggest question is once the line is hooked up do I turn the gas valve all the way on?

Sorry I got back to you so late, Lowe's is sending someone out to install that's licensed to do so tomorrow. Lowe's fucked so they're trying to make up for it.
This is something I would never mess with myself after looking over the instructions

seemed kind of odd they would just drop off the range and not hook it up.

Yeah, something like that would even be worth paying to get done. 1 small leak, and KER-PLOW!

That's what I thought, they delivered my washer, dryer, and fridge and hooked all those up. I called and spoke to the manager, he said they are not certified to install gas appliances but they can hire contractors to do it through them for you. I was pissed too that the lady that ordered it for me had me purchase a plug that went to an electric range, I didn't know till they delivered the gas one today

she sold you a gas range with an electric connection? That's what happens when the person who just started last week rings up the sale.

I bought a range from Best Buy a couple weeks ago. They charged me for a electric cable too but when the range came to the house, it already had one. It was just a minor annoyance to return it. I won't complain too much since I got the Kitchenaid range for about half price.

Lowe's just came and installed my stove, took the guy roughly 3 mins and the charge was $125! :(
